The CocoTek® line of organic growing media consists of three different types of compressed coco coir. This high-quality, low-sodium growing media is an environmentally friendly alternative to sphagnum peat moss. When hydrated with water, CocoTek® blocks rapidly expand. The natural coir block contains only coconut pith and fibers. Great for water-holding capacity, these materials also provide plenty of aeration and drainage.

Buffered with calcium nitrate and then washed. During the washing process, the nitrate is removed, and only the calcium stays behind. The coco larger fiber coir holds onto water and nutrients; does not get compacted easily like shorter fiber coir.
