Your plants will love it. They won’t experience the drying out that stunts growth or the over-watering that squeezes the air out of the soil and keeps them from “breathing” properly.
As the soil dries, the ceramic cone delivers water gradually into the surrounding earth – thereby creating a vacuum within the cone which draws water from the nearby container of water. Once the soil is moistened the Blumat Junior will cease flowing water. It waters your plants only as needed.

It waters your plants only as needed. | Each Tropf Blumat can control 5 of these distribution drippers and saturate a 40" length - either in a row or around a large plant. In a pressure system, by adjusting the black screw, it's possible to do more than 5 but with a gravity system, usually better to stay with 2-3. If your plants and conditions are the same, you can also put one Tropf Blumat in the first pot with one distribution dripper and one or two in each plant after that. One customer reported doing this successfully with 25 distribution drippers running off just one Blumat sensor. | Use these to end a Blumat distribution line. The regular distribution drippers have barbs on both sides so you need a way to end them without water dripping out too fast. You can do that with an end cap (IG15509) or with one of these. They are less expensive than the standard drippers and much easier to take on and off than the end caps. The end caps often need pliers to remove but they just pull on and off. | This 3mm tubing is ideal for blumat watering systems and other unique irrigation applications. This is the sizing that is included with each blumat. This tubing runs through the caps/tops of each tropf blumat as well as the classic models. This 3mm tubing size is also the tubing size designed for integrating distribution drippers to blumat systems. If you want to string drippers around your container, you will want some of this tubing! This 3mm silicone tubing is also ideal for integrating BluSoak drip tape to blumat watering systems as well. This is really the choice tubing for automatic drip irrigation kit(s) and any blumat watering system. | BluSoak Drip Tape Hold-Down Stake Long Mega by the bulk, purchase whatever quantity you want. The are cheaper than most stakes found on the market but work much better for holding down soaker hose / drip tape. They also do not rust because they are made of high quality plastic rather than metal. Approximately, 7" tall, and 1" wide. | If you have lots of room and can easily make large, round bends; you won't need elbows. If you're in a smaller space though, they will save you lots of room and prevent kinking. See the pictures here for examples of using them to go up and down in raised beds. | ||
